Description

Learn the basics of composition and lighting for photography in the great outdoors. You will get to know your camera, whether it is an SLR, a point and shoot, or a camera phone. We will trek through nature taking photographs of the beauty around us, and build and photograph still lives with objects from nature we collect along the way. Learn how to capture landscapes in all their wonder, making the most of the camera you have. We will practice techniques for photographing moving wildlife, learn what kinds of wildlife we might see, scout locations, and how to be careful while photographing wildlife. Develop the skills of patience, mindfulness about our environment, and how to be prepared for the elements. We will use our camera to explore Kleinstuck preserve and, depending on weather, will take a walking field trip to Woods Lake Park. So be prepared for a lot of walking/hiking.
